Community mental health in rural areas faces various challenges, including low mental health literacy, social stigma, and limited access to culturally appropriate counseling services. These conditions were also found among members of the Tumapel Village Community Organization, Gedangan District, Sidoarjo Regency. This community service program aimed to strengthen community mental health through Sufism-based cultural counseling integrated with a psychotherapy approach. The methods employed included training sessions, group counseling assistance, and a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach involving 30–40 participants. The results indicated improved community understanding of mental health, reduced stigma toward psychological problems, and enhanced ability to manage stress and emotions adaptively and spiritually. The integration of Sufistic values with simple psychotherapeutic techniques was well accepted by the community and aligned with local cultural and religious contexts. This program concludes that integrating Sufism-based cultural counseling with psychotherapy is an effective and contextual approach to strengthening mental health in rural communities
