SOSIALISASI KESELAMATAN DAN KESEHATAN KERJA DI SEKTOR INDUSTRI BATIK RUMAHAN DESA SENDANGDUWUR LAMONGAN

Abstract

Work accidents are the impacts that arise due to weak procedures and less than optimal implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) in an industry, especially the home batik industry, the impact of work accidents can be detrimental to various parties involved, especially due to exposure to chemical dyes, the use of simple work equipment, and low implementation of work safety procedures. Community service activities held in the home batik sector aim to improve knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of occupational safety and health (K3) in home batik artisans in Sendangduwur Village, Lamongan Regency, so as to create a safe, healthy, and productive work environment. The methods used include the implementation of pre-tests and post-tests, education about the importance of implementing K3, potential hazards in the batik industry, self-stretching, and the importance of batik wastewater treatment. The results of measuring the knowledge of batik artisans showed a significant increase after the implementation of community service activities. The average pre-test score of participants was 16.23, increasing to 18.13 in the post-test. This increase indicates that the educational intervention provided was able to improve participants' understanding of the material presented, and the application of occupational safety and health in the informal batik sector.
